MOTO 360 “A WATCH FOR OUR TIMES” - Elegantly Stylish Ads by Droga5

Posted on 3:59 PM by veer

While elegant symmetry and flawless design are indispensable hallmarks of the Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch, sometimes what really matters is how conveniently a beautiful piece of technology can connect you with a Tinder match. Droga5 playfully unveils the device’s real-world functionality with the new 6-spot campaign “A Watch For Our Times” helmed by acclaimed Believe Media director Floria Sigismondi.

Each spot starts out with the cliches of traditional luxury watch advertising: intricate close-ups of the timepiece, the male voiceover listing a series of one-word descriptions, classical music, the distant gaze of a beautiful model. The familiar highbrow formula then takes a surprising turn, as the watch-face suddenly lights up with the familiar e-notifications of Tinder dating, text messages, and food delivery service.

In one spot, a stunning blonde woman is seen preening in the mirror, accompanied by the dramatic voiceover: “Beauty. Refinement.” The watch she is donning lights up with a text from Amy, who has sent a string of celebratory emojis. The narrator continues on in the same indulgent tone: “Winky face. Martini glass. Party thing.”

Floria Sigismondi is known for directing ads for premiere brands such as Thierry Mugler, CoverGirl, Absolut, and MAC Cosmetics with her signature cinematic style. The Moto 360 campaign sees Sigismondi flex her skill for crafting sophisticated narratives and take it to the most unexpected of places, as she subtly melds the luxury world to the real world with a tongue firmly in cheek.

Freeview Left Behinds - Meet the singing toys In New Advert

Posted on 4:58 PM by veer

In Freeview's new TV advert, something magical happens at a jumble sale. At the end of the day, when everything has been packed away, all the unsold items come to life.

This weekend Freeview is launching the latest instalment of its popular campaign: ‘Entertainment. It’s even better when it’s free.’

The campaign, created by Leo Burnett is called ‘Left Behinds’. In the TV advert, something magical happens at a jumble sale. At the end of the day, when everything has been packed away, all the unsold items - a motley-crew including toys, ornaments and stuffed animals - come to life and sing I Want To Know What Love Is, by Foreigner.

The emotional performance is witnessed by a gobsmacked man, and demonstrates the campaign idea: Entertainment. It's even better when it's free.

Owen Jenkinson, Freeview’s Head of Marketing, said: “This campaign follows our much-loved ‘Tadpoles’ and ‘Cat and Budgie’ ads. We’re introducing new characters but the ad is just as surprising and effective at demonstrating the joy of having free entertainment.

“Indeed, with 95% of the nation’s favourite TV programmes available on Freeview, it encourages consumers to question whether they need to pay for TV when they can get great quality and variety content subscription-free.”

An Intel®-based Chromebook Comedy Short - Frozen Coffee & The Monotaskers

Posted on 3:58 PM by veer

CGC, director Matt Miller and their clients at agency Cutwater give us two new fun short films for Intel. The shorts are entitled "Frozen Coffee" (1:16) and "The Monotaskers" (1:25), and both recently debuted on Intel’s YouTube channel. Set in a coffee shop, both shorts feature a colorful cast of characters metaphorically demonstrating the downfalls of multitasking on Chromebooks that do not have Intel inside.

"When you're shooting comedy, keeping a light and fun tone on set is vitally important. As the director, you're the host of the party and your demeanor and energy greatly inform that tone" says director Matt Miller, adding "I handled the casting on this one myself, and feel we had two great casts for this project... with especially strong turns from Robyn Okrant as the server in 'The Monotasker' and Alan Metoskie as the barista in 'Frozen Coffee.'"

iZettle - The 12 Hour Store Teaser

Posted on 2:21 AM by veer

6 small businesses, 6 days - The 12 Hour Store by iZettle

For its upcoming campaign, iZettle is inviting 6 small businesses to open their own flagship store in one of the most popular shopping districts in London – each of them for 12 hours only. Now the Swedish company is releasing a sneak peek into its upcoming campaign-stunt: The 12 Hour Store.

Together with 6 independent start-ups iZettle is getting ready to open a new store concept in central London. All we know so far is that it will be open for 6 days, 12 hours per day and each day it will be a new brand opening and closing the doors to the shop.

iZettle has teamed up with Forsman & Bodenfors, Independent Agency of The Year at Cannes Lions 2014, to bring entrepreneurship and passion to the frontiers of its first ever integrated campaign. The campaign usher in the notion ‘big things start small’, to bring out the devotees of small businesses and the passion it takes to build something, perhaps against all odds, from the ground up.

New Google Android Commercials - Be Together. Not the Same

Posted on 6:27 PM by veer

A few years ago, we thought that phones and tablets and watches (and stuff that hasn’t even been invented yet) would be way more interesting if everyone was invited to imagine, invent, make, or buy whatever they wanted. So we created Android, and put it out there for everyone.

Since then, all kinds of people, companies big and small, folks on Kickstarter, kids in schools, and mad-smart developers have been innovating faster, together, than any one company ever could.

Basically, we’re throwing the world’s biggest… come as you are, everyone’s invited, don’t bother knocking, feel free to DJ, bring a friend or fifteen… party.

Consider yourself invited.

Samsung Galaxy ALPHA "Pick It Up" Prank

Posted on 2:37 PM by veer

Creative shop DDB Stockholm just released their campaign to launch new phone Samsung Galaxy Alpha in Sweden. The Galaxy Alpha is the slickest and most stylish Samsung smartphone made to date and in order to let people get a chance to see, feel and try the Alpha, DDB created an activation called "Pick It Up".

What would you do if a phone displayed in a store would suddenly start to ring? Would you pick it up? Samsung Sweden has replaced a few displayed Galaxy Alpha phones to functioning ones around several Swedish stores. These phones could start ringing. If anyone dares to pick up the phone it could be theirs.

As part of the strategy to get potential users to touch and feel our phones, text messages will be sent with tips on where the next phone may ring.

- In this campaign we wanted to focus on bringing out our new smartphone and it’s design details with a nice twist – hence let people experience the Samsung Galaxy Alpha in real life, says Jonas Eklöf, Marketing Manager IT & Mobile at Samsung Nordics.

"Pick It Up" is one of the first initiatives by DDB Stockholm for Samsung Nordics, since they began their partnership in 2014.

- We wanted to create an interaction with consumers where they are usually overwhelmed with options – at point of purchases. We hopefully will make them smile and consider Samsung as their first choice, says Jacob Sandström, Business Director at DDB.

The Talking Fridge by Samsung and Cheil

Posted on 6:08 PM by veer

CHALLENGE
How do we introduce Samsung’s latest fridge – the T9000 Premium Refrigerator – in stores in a way that breaks from the clutter? More pointedly, how do we create a non-intrusive, personalised experience for shoppers? So they may feel comfortable exploring the new fridge – at their own time, and without the need for pesky sales people.

SOLUTION
The Samsung Talking Fridge: A fridge with the gift of the gab.

HOW IT WORKS
We place a brand new T9000 refrigerator in-store, and install motion sensors inside. Upon sensing movement in any of the interior compartments, the sensors activate a voice playback that talks the shopper through the fridge’s individual features and benefits.

Shoppers can take their time to open, drag, close and interact with any part of the fridge, while a mobile app provides more information about the product. No pushy sales talk. No pressure.

It’s a fresh, fun, and highly interactive way to discover a fridge so good, it sells itself. Literally.

HP Presents "Ghost Wave" The Movie

Posted on 4:13 PM by veer

After scouring the planet for an undiscovered big wave, Ian Walsh and crew make a last minute call to chase a monster swell to a remote part of Western South Africa. Watch Ian as he attempts to make history on the other side of the world with South African surf legend Grant “Twiggy” Baker and next gen charger Frank Solomon.

Brandon Porter of Whitehouse Post cuts “Ghost Wave,” HP’s latest short film starring extreme surfer Ian Walsh via 180LA. Captured by famed surf cinematographer and director Taylor Steele, the short follows Walsh and his crew as they scour the globe in search of an unknown surf break.

The crew eventually lands in a remote fishing village on the Pacific coast of South Africa. Armed with the powerful HP Pavilion x360 for monitoring winds, swells, and tides, Walsh and his team quickly determine it to be the ideal location to scout for waves and immediately get to work chasing the elusive “Ghost Wave.”

Porter’s deft cuts allow us to experience the adventure and thrill as the crew scrambles to catch the swell. “It was great to team up with 180LA again for this project,” says Porter. “Ian is an incredible athlete and Taylor is a fantastic director. Watching Ian drop into waves of that size without hesitation was a mind blowing experience. It was exciting to showcase his skills as a surfer and adventurer, as well as the efficiencies technology brings to finding waves like these.”

New Samsung Galaxy Alpha "Right Up Our Street" Advert

Posted on 5:38 PM by veer

The new Galaxy Alpha from Samsung is launching. Lily Allen, Ben Skinner (the world’s number 2 surfer) and BMX star Harry Main join stylish Britons to bring their ‘swagger’ to the launch. Britain’s most popular phones. Music: Lily Allen “As long as I got you.” 60 second extended version below.

Press: Samsung Electronics has today revealed a new UK marketing campaign for its Galaxy Alpha smartphone. The £10 million campaign which includes TV, print, PR, search, social media, digital display and out-of-home, takes Samsung into new territory with the launch of an epic TVC featuring pop star Lily Allen.

The TVC will debut in the UK from this Saturday, 20th September with a one minute primetime spot. As the latest member of Samsung’s popular Galaxy smartphone range, the TVC demonstrates the role the Galaxy Alpha plays in the lives of everyday Britain, capturing the spirit, diversity, quirkiness and vibrant culture of the people that live here.

Filmed on location around England and directed by the acclaimed Josh & Xander, the TVC ‘Right up our street’ is set to the soundtrack of Lily Allen’s ‘As Long As I’ve Got You,’ and features the Galaxy Alpha throughout, showing it naturally entwined in the everyday lives of Alpha Britons, who embody the spirit of new modern Britain and its stylish youth culture.

Commenting on the launch campaign, Russell Taylor, Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Samsung UK & Ireland said: “The Galaxy Alpha is a smartphone that pushes the boundaries in terms of its style and technology and we wanted a campaign that was culturally relevant with young minded consumers. Our goal is to bring this mobile brand platform to life in a way that is relevant to our audience.”

Lily Allen commented: “I’m proud to be British, and it’s exciting to be involved with a campaign intended to be a love letter to my home country. Samsung and Josh & Xander have done an amazing job, the Alpha Briton campaign represents all the things I love about Britain; fashion, music, family...it’s all there.”

The Galaxy Alpha print and digital display campaign will show how Samsung’s beautifully designed new smartphone represents an alternative style choice and capture the uniqueness of British people. The TVC will feature 56 real-life Alpha Britons, some of whom also appear through-out the other elements of the campaign, who will each demonstrate their independent, varied and eclectic style choices.

Logan Wilmont, executive creative director at Cheil UK, the creative agency behind the campaign, added: “Britain is an amazingly diverse and creative culture. We have come through a difficult few years and have emerged as a positive confident and optimistic place. But sometimes we forget that. We wanted to celebrate that optimism. Samsung are the most popular phones in the UK, used by more people on more devices than any other phone. And we love the fact we fit so perfectly into this new Britain. And Lily Allen is the perfect encapsulation of all this. Positive, populist, stylish and fun.”

Matt Pye, COO at Cheil UK, added: “This is the first time we’ve worked with Samsung to create a brand platform in the UK, and significantly, one that will influence the way Samsung devices are marketed in the future. The platform holds exciting potential for future activity and I couldn’t be prouder that our teams have been a part of putting that in place.”
